The photograph shows the scene of Ramesses II reading a papyrus scroll in front of his father Seti I and a detail of the text with the cartouches of the pharaohs from the so-called "Abydos King List", the succession of canonical dynasties that preceded Seti I. The relief is located on the western wall of the "Gallery of Ancestors" or the “Gallery of Lists” in the southern wing of the Temple.
