Photo 1/1
View of the remains of the Temple of Taffeh, built in Nubia in the Roman Period. Due to the temple’s risk of submersion after the construction of the Aswan Dam and the rising Lake Nasser, it was removed in 1960s and then donated by the egyptian government to the Netherlands for their help and assistance in documenting the Nubian territory. It is now in the Rijksmuseum van Oudheden, Leiden. The author's signature is at the bottom left.
