The photograph depicts a wall scene from the Tomb of Sennefer (TT96) burial chamber, north wall. He was “Mayor of the Southern City” who lived during the reign of Amenhotep II in the 18th Dynasty. In the image, the deceased and his wife Meryt are purified by a Sem priest who is wearing a leopard’s skin. The author's signature is faintly legible at the bottom right-hand corner.
